Privacy Policy

The short version: the numbers you type stay on your own device. You don't need an account, and we don't collect your grades.

Last updated: 18 October 2026

At a glance

  • Your grades, marks and GPAs are worked out in your browser and never sent to us.
  • We count visits with Vercel Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and does not identify you. We don’t use advertising or cookies of our own.
  • We may add Google Analytics and ads (such as Google AdSense) in future. This page explains what that would mean, and we will update it before either goes live.

1. Information you enter in the calculator

Everything you type into the calculator, such as subject names, credit hours, grades, marks and GPAs, is processed entirely in your web browser. It is saved in your browser's local storage so your entries are still there when you come back, and it is never sent to us or to anyone else.

You can delete this information at any time with the Reset all button on the calculator, or by clearing your browser's data for this site.

2. Information collected automatically

Like almost every website, the service that hosts this site may automatically record basic technical information when you visit. This can include your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you request, and the date and time of your visit. This information is used to deliver the site and keep it secure, and is handled under the hosting provider's own privacy policy.

We also use Vercel Web Analytics to count how many people visit and which pages they view. It does not use cookies, does not collect the numbers you type into the calculator, and does not identify individual visitors.

3. Cookies and local storage

At the moment, this website does not set any cookies of its own. It uses your browser's local storage only to remember your calculator entries and whether you prefer light or dark mode. This information stays on your device.

If we add analytics or advertising in future, cookies may be used as described in the next two sections.

4. Google Analytics (planned)

In future we may use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, to understand how visitors use the site, for example which tools are most popular and which devices people use. This helps us improve the calculator. If we do:

  • Google Analytics will use cookies and similar technologies to collect information such as the pages you visit, how long you stay, your approximate location (city or country), your device and browser type, and how you found the site.
  • This information will be processed by Google in line with the Google Privacy Policy. You can read how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
  • We will not send Google the grades or numbers you type into the calculator, and we will not use analytics to identify you personally.
  • You can opt out of Google Analytics on all websites by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

5. Advertising (planned)

To keep the calculator free, we may show ads in future, for example through Google AdSense. If we do:

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, will use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this website or other websites.
  • Google's use of advertising cookies lets Google and its partners show you ads based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
  • You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google's My Ad Center (formerly Ads Settings). You can also opt out of some other vendors' personalised ads at optout.aboutads.info, or at youronlinechoices.eu if you are in Europe.
  • Ads will always be kept separate from the calculator, and advertisers will never receive the numbers you enter.

6. Your choices and consent

If you visit from a place where the law requires your consent before analytics or advertising cookies are used, such as the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we will ask for your consent with a cookie notice before any such cookies are set. You can change your mind at any time.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or use a private browsing window. The calculator will keep working, although your entries won't be remembered after you close the window.

7. Children's privacy

This website is meant for students and is suitable for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, for example by email, please contact us and we will delete it.

8. If you email us

If you contact us by email, we will receive your email address and anything you include in your message. We use this only to reply to you, and we do not sell or share it. Please don't send transcripts, ID documents or other sensitive information.

9. Links to other websites

This site may link to other websites, such as Google's privacy pages. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those websites, so please read their policies too.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time, for example when we add analytics or advertising. We will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page, and we will update this policy before any new kind of data collection begins.
